Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "your", "Player" or "Host") and Find My Mahjong, of 174 Duke Trail, Weatherford, Texas 76088 ("Find My Mahjong", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Find My Mahjong website, mobile applications and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, booking a seat, listing a game or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Find My Mahjong is

Find My Mahjong is a community listing and booking service for mahjong players. Members (we call them "Hosts") post open games, classes and coaching sessions; other members ("Players") search those listings and reserve a seat. Find My Mahjong provides the platform only. We do not organise, supervise, staff, insure or run the games that appear on the Service, and we are not a party to any arrangement between a Host and a Player.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to host a game or list a class. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
• The information on your account must be accurate and kept current — in particular the mobile number we use to send booking confirmations, reminders and verification codes.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password private and tell us promptly at hello@findmymahjong.org if you believe someone else has used it.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that is used to harass other members, or that puts the community at risk.

3. Booking a seat

• Booking a seat through Find My Mahjong is free. Seats are limited and are allocated in the order they are booked; when a game is full you may join its waitlist and you will be seated automatically, in order, if a spot opens.
• Any table fee, venue charge, class tuition or materials cost is set and collected by the Host, not by Find My Mahjong. Ask the Host before you attend.
• Please cancel a seat you cannot use. Repeatedly reserving seats and not showing up may result in booking limits on your account.
• Hosts may change or cancel a game. We pass along the change as promptly as we can, but we cannot guarantee that a listed game will take place.

4. Hosting a game

If you list a game, class or coaching session you confirm that you have the right to use the venue, that the details you publish (date, time, address, skill level, cost, number of seats) are accurate, and that you will treat the players who book with courtesy. You are solely responsible for the conduct and safety of your event, for any permissions, permits or insurance it requires, and for complying with the rules of the venue you use.

5. Community conduct

Members agree not to:

• harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse another member;
• post listings that are false, misleading, or that are not genuine mahjong games, classes or coaching;
• use the Service for gambling or for any unlawful purpose, or to promote a business unrelated to the mahjong community;
• scrape, copy, resell or bulk-download listings or member details, or use the Service to build a competing database;
• attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Service or to another member's account.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of the text and images you post. By posting, you grant Find My Mahjong a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. Do not post content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Find My Mahjong name, logo, page designs, text and software are owned by Find My Mahjong and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.

Find My Mahjong does not reproduce, distribute or host the official annual card, its hand lists, or any other third-party rules content. Where a game listing refers to a published card, players are expected to obtain their own official copy from its publisher.

National Mah Jongg League® and NMJL® are registered trademarks of the National Mah Jongg League, Inc. All rights reserved. Find My Mahjong is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the National Mah Jongg League, Inc.

8. Text messages

Booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist notices, verification codes and password resets may be sent to you by SMS. How that works, how often we send, and how to stop the messages is set out in our SMS / Messaging Policy. Message and data rates may apply.

9. Third-party venues, links and advertising

The Service links to venues, maps, payment providers and other third-party sites, and it carries advertising. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find My Mahjong disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that a game will take place, that a Host or venue is suitable, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You attend games at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and belongings.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find My Mahjong will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US$100).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Find My Mahjong harmless from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, a game you host or attend, content you post, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Force majeure

Neither you nor Find My Mahjong is liable for a failure or delay caused by something outside reasonable control — including severe weather, fire, flood, power or network failure, a hosting or carrier outage, labour dispute, civil unrest, or an act of government.

14. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to hello@findmymahjong.org. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, if these Terms are breached or if we need to protect the Service or its members. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will do so.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do we will revise the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice on the site or by email or text before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Parker County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

17. Dispute resolution

Before filing any claim, please contact us at hello@findmymahjong.org and give us 30 days to resolve the matter informally — most issues are a misunderstanding about a booking and are settled in a day. If that fails, either of us may bring the claim in the courts named above, or in small claims court where the amount qualifies.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force.

19. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the SMS / Messaging Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Find My Mahjong about the Service, and replace any earlier understanding on that subject.
